    After qualifying run, should I email to rcfeebck@microsoft.com?

  • Your actual entry may be localized in any language; however, any supporting materials must be in English;
  • Your submitted entry must include the compiled files created for the entry;
  • Your submitted entry must include a description of your solution, emailed to rcfeebck@microsoft.com.
  • -----------------

    After qualifying run, I got a receipt key.

    Then should I email to rcfeebck@microsoft.com supporting materials ?

    and then what is a supporting materials? (Visual Studio Solution files and description text ?)

    Thanks in advance.

    First, the correct email address is:  rcfeedbk@microsoft.com (there was a typo in the original detailed rules file...and was corrected by Marc in another thread in this forum section about four threads down from this one.)

     The files you should send are the binary files for your solution and the text description.  The binary files can be found in Microsoft Robotics Dev Studio 2008/bin directory.  If you sort that directory by Date Modified, the binary files for the Urban challenge, should all be found at or near the top (corresponding to the date/time you last did a build).  Zip those files up and send them...all the filenames start with "UrbanChallenge".

    Send to: rcfeedbk@microsoft.com

    Marc posted the correction in the forum,  rcfeebck is a typo erro.

    You should send the binaries/compiled files/(.dlls) of your solution, not the souce files (C# or VPL project files). And a text (with or without diagrams and images) description of your approach to solve the problem.

     It's is output in the console log after a successful run.  Did you happen to save the console log?

    When your car reach the END area you should see something like that at the prompt:

    > Saving file...

    > Connecting to Server ...

    > Entry submited, your receip key is ASDASD-ASDAS1131-AD523DFK-413DFADAS

    You do not receive e-mails to confirm your submission, just the receipt key (at least as I remember from the other challenges hehe).

    Thanks all

    I didn't save my command prompt but it saved a file like
    SIMPLYSIMURBAN-{confirmation #}.RCE
    in the bin directory.

    Does anyone know when the mars rover challenge will be announced?
